WFF Mother-Daughter Beginning Fly Fishing School

Join us in late summer weekend at a cabin resort for our
first Mother-Daughter / Aunt-Niece fly fishing class retreat in Petersville, Alaska. Promising a unique and unforgettable experience filled with fun and bonding.

This fly fishing retreat in Petersville is more than just a getaway; it's an opportunity to create cherished memories that will be treasured for years to come.

Schedule and Accommodations

August 8-10, 2025

Day One starts early, with the group gathering for a hearty breakfast in the main lodge, where stories and laughter set the tone for the day. Over steaming cups of coffee or hot chocolate, everyone discusses the day's plan. The anticipation builds as fishing gear is prepared, and instructors give a quick overview of fly fishing basics.

Each pair – whether mother-daughter or aunt-niece – heads down to the lake, casting lines together, sharing tips, and cheering each other on. There's an infectious sense of excitement as someone gets a bite, and everyone gathers around to watch. The experienced instructors are always nearby, offering gentle guidance, ensuring that the experience is both educational and fun.

As the day unfolds, the lake becomes a playground.  Moments are filled with joy and camaraderie, whether it’s celebrating a first catch, teasing each other over tangled lines, or simply enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The beauty of the lake, with the backdrop of Alaska's rugged mountains, creates a sense of tranquility and connection to nature that is hard to find elsewhere.

Evenings are spent back at the cabins, gathered around a fire pit, roasting marshmallows, and swapping stories of the day's adventures. There's a sense of closeness that deepens as the stars come out and the conversation turns to personal memories, future dreams, and shared aspirations.

Throughout the retreat, there's a wonderful blend of learning, relaxation, and fun. It's not just about mastering the art of fly fishing but about building lasting memories, strengthening bonds, and enjoying quality time together.
